Humor heals all wounds...eventually. Enjoy the deep laughs emanating from surviving life's darkest moments in this funny, poignant stand-up comedy show about the journey back to sanity. The Addicts' Comedy Tour is a stand-up show about overcoming life challenges with laughter and strength. Drawing upon their shared friendship and experiences around often persistent addictions, nationally headlining in-demand comedians Mark Lundholm, Kurtis Matthews and Andy Gold tour together to share colorful stories about life, love, jail, rehab and recovery, and keep you laughing along the way.
Mark Lundholm has performed in all 50 states and 10 foreign countries. From world-renowned musicians, heads of state, fortune 500 companies to rehabilitation centers and convicted felons, Mark has truly entertained on the world's stage.
He's appeared on Comedy Central, Showtime, A&E, CBS, and NBC. Mark wrote and performed his own one-man show off-Broadway in New York City reaching critical acclaim, and in his spare time created the now staple DVD series 'Humor in Treatment' and the Recovery Board Game.
Kurtis Matthews has toured nationally and internationally since 1984. That same year, he also embarked upon his own journey of recovery from alcoholism and drug abuse after an automobile accident resulted in his second DUI and jail time. Since 84, he's starred in the BBCs 'Find me the Funny' and appeared on A and E, VH1 and a number of other TV and radio shows. Aside from the tour, he performs in multiple anonymous recovery conventions, rehabs and private fundraisers each year. In 1999, he founded the San Francisco Comedy College (SFCC), which has become the most attended stand-up comedy school in America.
Andy Gold is a favorite at treatment centers and in recovery groups, Andy has appeared in festivals and competitions all over the country, including the Boston Comedy Festival, Ventura Comedy Festival, Rocky Mountain Laugh Off, San Diego Comedy Festival, Laugh Your Ashville Off, Trial by Laughter Comedy Festival, Golden Spike Comedy Festival and Idaho Laugh Fest. Andy draws humor from all parts of his life, especially from the nearly 10 years he spent in active heroin addiction. Andy began his comedy career in Salt Lake City just six months after a (temporally) fatal overdose prompted Andy's family to intervene and convince him to go to treatment.
